Abnormality Counting
Overview
CytoMut exposes several counting policies because ISCN-oriented review, MDS, AML, and CLL workflows use different counting conventions.
P3.iscn2024
Counts sample-level distinct abnormalities using ISCN 2024 section 6.5, Table 7, and the worked examples in Table 8.
P9.event_collapsed
Starts from ISCN Table 7 sample-level weighting, then absorbs compensatory whole-chromosome gains into accompanying unsigned replacement derivatives.
P5.chun2010
Counts one aberration per top-level item, aggregates independent clone abnormalities across the sample, and counts the same specific abnormality only once across clones.
P8.grimwade2010
Counts independent abnormalities across the sample using Grimwade-style related-event, multiplicity, derived-gain, and unbalanced-translocation rules.
P6.haase2019
Applies Chun-style top-level counting in the single clone lineage with the highest total, with unbalanced translocations counted as two abnormalities.
