Abnormality Counting

Counting policy documents

Overview

CytoMut exposes several counting policies because ISCN-oriented review, MDS, AML, and CLL workflows use different counting conventions.

P3.iscn2024

ISCN 2024 counting

문서 보기

Counts sample-level distinct abnormalities using ISCN 2024 section 6.5, Table 7, and the worked examples in Table 8.

Scope
Whole sample
Basis
ISCN 2024 section 6.5 and Table 7

P9.event_collapsed

Event-collapsed counting

문서 보기

Starts from ISCN Table 7 sample-level weighting, then absorbs compensatory whole-chromosome gains into accompanying unsigned replacement derivatives.

Scope
Whole sample
Basis
CytoMut custom policy built on Table 7 weights plus biological-equivalence collapse rules

P5.chun2010

Chun 2010 counting

문서 보기

Counts one aberration per top-level item, aggregates independent clone abnormalities across the sample, and counts the same specific abnormality only once across clones.

Scope
Whole sample
Basis
Chun et al. 2010 / IWGMC MDS consensus approach

P8.grimwade2010

Grimwade 2010 counting

문서 보기

Counts independent abnormalities across the sample using Grimwade-style related-event, multiplicity, derived-gain, and unbalanced-translocation rules.

Scope
Whole sample
Basis
Grimwade et al. 2010 AML complex-karyotype framing

P6.haase2019

Haase 2019 counting

문서 보기

Applies Chun-style top-level counting in the single clone lineage with the highest total, with unbalanced translocations counted as two abnormalities.

Scope
Highest-abnormality clone lineage
Basis
Haase et al. 2019 / IPSS-R single-clone complexity framing
